Seattle Cinerama
Opened in 1963, Seattle Cinerama is an Emerald City icon. The theater saw a number of renovations after being purchased by Paul G. Allen's Vulcan Inc. in 1997.
The current iteration is acknowledged as one of the greatest public exhibition cinemas in the world.
Performed in 2014, the project included the first cinematic use of Christie's 6P dual laser projection system, the city's first Dolby Atmos deployment, and the largest Meyer Sound cinema installation to date. The integration accommodates all legacy 3-strip Cinerama and 35/70mm film systems.
Interior updates included an elaborate seating rake revision, thoughtful ceiling speaker integration, and updated acoustics designed by Studio 440 Architecture of Los Angeles.
